Each song is like a chapter in a novel of modern fiction, following a different and strange character. A beautiful and understated album. Aaron J. Shay (he/him)
Stumbling upon Tiny Ruins felt like when I first stumbled upon Leonard Cohen in my late teens. The lyrics, the music, the voice come together in a unique melancholic and tender delivery. Loving it! that.bowl.of.petunias
If Suzanne Vega started this decade she might have sounded like this, good acoustic guitar song observations with a novelistic eye, and a support band that embellishes but never overpowers the music. Found this artist only this year thanks to a Milk Records compilation, which proves they work. Favourite track: "How Much", simply superb, but also check "Sparklers" and "Kore Waits in the Underworld". agutterfan
